Cost vs. Value

If you know anything about economics, you may have heard the phrase cost verses value. In todays economy the value of the home that you are trying to seel may not be the cost of it. A wise person said your house is worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it right now. An associate of mine and I were just speaking about one of his relatives who spent nearly four million dollars on their dream home in Florida. Today, the house is worth one million dollars.
Before I bum you out any further, I want us to focus on the price that was paid for our sin. The P&L statement on this one is huge! We get to profit from not only eternal life, but a great life here as well! Our loss is the guilt and stain and punishment of sin. We have traded a life of flesh for a life of spirit. This was done through the atoning work of grace on the cross when Jesus died, and rose again.
Look, we all love a bargain. Just ask a yard sale shopaholic. It would profit you greatly if you accepted the gift of salvation, or if you are already living in a relationship with Christ, to remember the price that was paid, and the rewards of obedience. No matter how you cut it, this is a great deal, and it keeps getting better. Jory
